Judy Allen Award Winner 2022

Congratulations to Ada Shi, the worthy winner of the 2022 Judy Allen Award.

Ada has worked tirelessly since 2015 to support and connect a large number of people in the Kilvington community. She has been heavily involved in supporting and promoting events such as the Community Fair, Mother’s and Father’s Day events, picnics and BBQs.

She has supported new international students by translating at parent meetings, helping new parents socialise and experience the best of what Melbourne has to offer, and to source families who are willing to host Exchange and Homestay students.

In 2020, she generously assisted the School’s Executive with the translation of critical communication materials in relation to the COVID pandemic and also helped coordinate communications and assistance to and from the School’s Chinese speaking families.

Ada is an enthusiastic, empathetic and committed advocate for the Chinese community and has made the Kilvington community so much richer by her respect for diversity and cultural differences.
