The prestigious Judy Allen Award is presented by Judy Allen to a member of the community each year who has made an outstanding contribution to the School, as did Judy over many years.  The Award recipient receives a framed certificate, and his or her name is included on the Honour Board in Dalton Hall.

This year’s worthy Judy Allen Award winner is Lauren Matthews. Lauren is a former student and School Captain of Kilvington, who then went on to serve on the Alumni and the Kilvington Board of Directors for 9 years.

She has committed many hours representing the Alumni on the Board, as well as being an integral Board member during a critical period of time when the School Board was making the decision to become co-educational. She was the interim Chair of the Kilvington Board post-transition to co-educational Kilvington.

She has been an active supporter of the School and attended School events, fostered community ties with Kilvington, mentored students and enabled a number of progressive initiatives. She has consistently gone above and beyond in all of her Kilvington roles and brought considerable caring and social conscience to her Kilvington work.

Congratulations, Lauren!
